Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University. Our illustrious organization was founded on Christian principles and we stand on the pillars of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action. Petersburg Alumnae embodies those pillars and has made it our goal to carry out the vision and ideas of our 22 Founders and make a difference in the lives of those in our communities. 

 

Our theme for this biennium is:

 “Walking in unity, working together as a team to make a difference and to have maximum impact in the community”  

 

Petersburg Alumnae is committed to serving our community with programs, activities, and events aligned under the Sorority’s 5-Point Programmatic Thrust

We are committed to giving back, serving our community, and supporting our youth with viable programs that allow them to grow in self-awareness, self-confidence, and educational achievements. The Petersburg Alumnae Chapter believes in the power of sisterhood, civic engagement, and collaboration. Our chapter consistently works to impact all aspects of the communities we serve. We count it a privilege and an honor to be a part of such a wonderful organization and to be able to serve our community.
