Greetings From Our Chapter President

Welcome Sorors and Friends!

Thank you for visiting the website of the Petersburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! Petersburg Alumnae is privileged to celebrate 75 years of service to the areas of Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Hopewell, Petersburg, Prince George, Southern Chesterfield and Sussex. I encourage you to browse through our website and learn about our rich history and contributions to the community.

As a chapter, we are committed to upholding the principles of our sorority and are dedicated to fulfilling its national theme: Uncompromising Commitment to Communities: Service, Leadership, Empowerment. We are invested in the development of our members and have as our goal to plan and implement programs and initiatives that will Inform, Enlighten, Inspire and Uplift those whom we serve. In addition to our own community efforts, the Petersburg Alumnae Chapter also offers its support to other national and local organizations like the NAACP, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Downtown Churches United and the Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, to name a few.

We are a chapter  of dynamic women diverse in age, background and expertise who have a desire to serve. I hope that you will be inspired by our efforts and will feel uplifted and empowered to become involved as a result. Explore what Petersburg Alumnae has to offer by visiting our website regularly for updates on our sponsored activities and events, but don’t stop there. Take it one step further: members of the public, join us during any of our public events and sorors, stay connected by paying us a visit if you are in the area on the third Saturday of each month, September - June.  We can’t wait to see you all!

With warmest regards,

Tanisha Mitchell
